One of my favorite past times is looking through old photos to see what my family looked like back then and thinking how CRAZY it is that we used to be that small once! It's not just a photo. It's a moment in time where everyone was together and enjoying each other's company. Family photos are there for you to look back on and say "Wow! Look how cute _____ was!" or "Omg, Dad. I can't believe you looked like that!" You'll thank me later.
